A Mother’s Wish
I wish for you ten-thousand rainbows,
with views from your heart,
deep in your spirit.
If ever you can’t see me,
close your eyes and remember,
I am everywhere, and there.
In the symphony of spring,
the glow of autumn,
the bluster of winter.
And in the shade of summer,
where I’ll hold your hand,
and pass you an Oreo.
I wish for you ten-thousand roses,
long-stemmed, luscious and full,
thorny lessons making you whole.
I wish for you that one moment,
when all is aligned,
and forever remains so.
