Silence in the Presence of Grief is Golden.
Silence allows space for grieving.
Silence allows space for healing.
Cancer has a huge ugly presence in my life. Many family members, friends, and acquaintances have lost the battle, or fought and count themselves survivors, for now.
Cancer’s presence is LOUD and my mind roars at the parasite’s shadow, “Who’s next?!”
My mother’s breast cancer the most recent savage expression of the shadow. She did it all. Fought and counted herself survivor, then fought and lost the battle.
My need for silence is immense, as big as the sky that holds the Milky Way.
